This emphasized by PCSupt. Roman A. Felix, PNP Regional Director, emphasized to the participants as he graced the closing ceremony of the Seminar-Workshop on Financial Management and Control System held at Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1).
PCSupt. Felix encouraged the participants to put into practice and implement what they have learned and never forget accountability and transparency as the most important keywords in the performance of their duty.
“For any endeavor or undertaking to become successful and for every organization or company to prosper, the resources provided must be judiciously and optimally utilized and this philosophy pushes through with the Philippine National Police (PNP) to ensure the sustenance to all our administrative and operational mandates,” the Regional Director added.
Likewise, Police Senior Superintendent Jonnel C. Estomo, Chief of the Regional Comptrollership Division (RCD) of PRO1, said they initiated the two-day seminar workshop for 80 finance personnel from the (4) Police Provincial Offices of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan to train them on the new financial management system and to refresh them on various monetary and budgetary concerns.
“The workshop also discussed fiscal directives from the PNP Headquarters and special laws involving money,” PSSupt. Estomo added.
The seminar lecturers include PSSupt. Estomo, PSSupt. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Chief of RCD in PRO-Cordillera and representatives from the Regional Finance Service Office 1 (RFSO1), Regional Legal Service 1 (RLS1) and the local office of the Commission on Audit (COA).
