Camp BGen Oscar M Florendo- The La Union Police Provincial Office (LUPPO) will receive an award in Camp Crame on June 30 for being adjudged as the PNP’s PPO Police Community Relations (PCR) Unit of the Year.
Region 1 police director Chief Superintendent Roman A. Felix congratulated PSSupt. Ramon Rafael, Provincial Director and members of the La Union police for their concerted effort in bringing LUPPO to the limelight.
“Gaining such award is a manifestation of strong collaboration and teamwork of both the PNP personnel of La Union and the community. May this award inspire more our police personnel in La Union in forging partnership with the constituents whom they vowed to serve,” PCSupt. Felix added.
The Regional Director also added that LUPPO has effectively put together programs and projects that strengthen partnership and harmonious relationship between the community and the police.
LUPPO garnered the highest score on their various community-based policing programs and projects, citizen empowerment advocacies and law enforcement initiatives.
Meanwhile, another feat was also given to LUPPO after Police Officer 3 Maria Caridad D. Godoy of the City of San Fernando Police Station gained the highest score and won as the Best PCR PNCO nationwide.
PCSupt. Felix likewise expressed his elation on Godoy’s accomplishments citing her as worthy of emulation.
PO3 Godoy prevailed over her many contenders because of her various involvements in Community Organizing, Community Mobilization and Community-Oriented Policing.
PSSupt. Rafael and PO3 Godoy will receive the award during the simultaneous kick-off ceremony of the 19th PCR Month Celebration in Camp Crame.
