In Vigan City, some famous museums that tourists usually visit are the Father Jose Burgos Museum and Syquia Mansion museum.  Burgos museum is so famous with the traditional, religion and cultural window of Ilocano heritage including ways of living of tribal community of northern Philippines.  Syquia Museum is famous as the mirror of old Ciudad Fernandina.

President Elpidio Quirino is the 6th President of the Philippines. Born in Vigan City and he is the first Ilocano to become President of the Philippines followed by Ferdinand Marcos and Fidel Ramos.  He was a rural teacher while studying until studied law and served to President Manuel Quezon.

The museum is collections of old family pictures and during his presidency.  Some of the things he used in Malacanang, like the robes, collection of hats and shoes, stainless wares, his black suit and his black Chrysler Imperial Limousine among others.  In other words, displayed here are the things President Quirino used, wore and photos during his presidency.

The President Elpidio Quirino Memorabilia Hall is situated near the Syquia Mansion which is also the former house of President Quirino.
