Vigan City Now In Top 21 In New 7 Wonder Cities

VIGAN CITY.  The Heritage City Of Vigan makes to it to Top 21 as he beats big cities of the world that includes Vancouver of Canada, Athens of Greece, Kyoto of Japan and other key cities in the search for New 7 Wonder Cities of the World.

The Top 21 was announced today and Vigan City of the Philippines is among of the 21 Cities who makes it that includes the cities of Bangkok, Barcelona, Beirut, Chicago, Doha, Durban, Havana, Istanbul, Kuala Lumpur, La Paz, London, Mendoza, Mexico City, Mumbai, Perth, Quito, Reykjavik, Saint Petersburg, Seoul and Shenzhen.

Vigan City also known as Ciudad Fernandina was the prime tourist destination in the Northern Philippines was so famous with the old houses built during the occupation of Chinese and Spanish in 15 century.  The houses are still standing tall particularly in the Crisologo street of the city.

The cities were reduced from thousands of cities participated in the search of New 7 Wonder Cities.  Top 28 was reduced to Top 21.  From 21 it will be reduced to 14.  And finally, from 14 remaining cities the 7 Wonder Cities will be named.  All the dates of declaration of the winners are on the 7th of the corresponding month.

The Top 14 will be known on October 7 and the Top 7 will be known until December 7.

Vigan City government thank all the individual and group who shared support to Vigan City through their votes in mobile phones and casting votes through internet.
